Manual configuration
- Unfortunately, settings for use of mobile internet on your HTC ChaCha cannot be sent by SMS.
- It is, however, possible to manually set up mobile internet on your HTC ChaCha. Choose Next for step-by-step instructions.
- An internet connection is required to send and receive MMS messages. Use the menu at the left to choose the relevant instructions. Continue with the MMS configuration.
- Start screen.
- Choose the menu key, and choose All apps.
- Scroll down.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Wireless & networks.
- Scroll down.
- Choose Mobile network, and check this option.
- Choose Mobile networks.
- Choose Access Point Names.
- Remove all current APN settings except MMS by choosing the APN, choosing the menu key, and choosing Delete APN.
- Choose the menu key, and choose New APN.
- Under Name, enter Internet.
- Under APN, enter internet.
- Under Proxy, enter nothing.
- Under Port, enter nothing.
- Scroll down.
- Under Username, enter tango.
- Under Password, enter tango.
- Scroll down.
- Under MCC, enter 270.
- Under MNC, enter 77.
- Under Authentication type, choose PAP.
- Under APN type, enter default. (Note: in lower case).
- Choose the menu key, and choose Save.
- Choose Internet, and check this option.
- Return to the Main menu.
- Scroll down.
- Choose Internet.
- Choose the menu key, choose More, scroll down and choose Settings.
- Enter http://www.tango.lu, and choose OK.
- Return to the Start screen.
- Start screen.
- Switch off the HTC ChaCha and restart it in order to activate the settings.
- You can now start using the internet.
